What would the prosecutor have to prove to convict me of Drug Trafficking?
Proving drug trafficking is very similar to proving drug manufacturing, possession, or sale. The main difference is that to convict you of drug trafficking, the prosecutor would have to prove that there was a certain quantity of drugs involved. The specific amount needed for the prosecution to convict you of trafficking varies by drug. For cannabis, the prosecutor would have to show that the amount involved was over 50 pounds. For cocaine and other controlled substances, the amount is 28 grams.
