Many sexual battery cases tend to be of the he said, she said variety. In these cases, it's very important to find an attorney who will fight the accusations before formal charges are filed, as I do. 

If formal charges have not yet been filed, I can begin working on your case at the intake stage. This is the point where there's the most leeway in the system. The prosecutor has received the police report, but not decided exactly what offense, if any,  to charge. I like to submit our own report on the situation, before the police report arrives in the State Attorney's office if possible, to give the prosecutor your side of the story, and begin negotiations to influence the prosecutor to file a lesser charge, or none at all.
